Bone meal and vermicompost do different jobs, which is why gardeners often use them together. FAMCO bone meal supplies phosphorus (20.56% P2O5 in its ICAR-IISR lab report), while vermicompost adds organic matter that improves soil. This combo brings 2 kg of each from FAMCO, Mysuru, organic fertilizer makers since 1984.
Bone meal vs vermicompost: what each one does
- Bone meal: a slow-release source of phosphorus for roots, flowers and fruit. Lab report: Total Nitrogen 3.62%, Total Phosphates (as P2O5) 20.56%.
- Vermicompost: earthworm compost that adds organic matter and helps improve soil structure, aeration and moisture retention. Meets FCO standards (organic carbon at least 18%).
